REACH plans Ragtime event

051106missmaggie
Janet and C.B. Hart, owners of Dillsboro Smokehouse, fire up “Miss Maggie,” their 1926 Model-T Ford touring car. “Maggie” will be part of REACH’s “Roaring Ragtime” event at High Hampton Inn on Thursday, May 18. Helping ready the car for her journey up the mountain is Larry Hinton, left, general manager of Sylva’s Andy Shaw Ford. Due to her advanced age (80), “Maggie” will be placed on Shaw Ford’s auto carrier for delivery to the Inn. REACH’s ragtime event will include music from the Firecracker Jazz Band of Asheville, along with dining, dancing, entertainment, and both silent and live charity auctions. For tickets or additional information, call 631-4488.
