Notes from our business community
- and everywhere else

COUNTRY ROAD FARMS, which is celebrating its 25th anniversary, is featured in our Business Spotlight this week. The operation that owners Doug and Sue Hall started as a small “mom and pop” garden center has now grown into a full-service garden center. Country Road carries everything from the soil stabilizers needed when excavating a house site to the plants that will enhance the completed home. In addition, they stock water garden supplies, commercial fertilizers, patio furnishings and much more. The garden center began with one employee and now has up to 16 during its busy months. “We never dreamed it grow into such a big operation when we started back in 1981,” the Halls said. “With the ongoing support of our loyal customers, we hope to continue to supply the area’s garden needs for years to come.”
