It’s that time again ...

033006timechangeGet ready to lose an hour of sleep as daylight-saving time returns this weekend.

The official time to “spring forward” is 2 a.m. Sunday, April 2. However, it is suggested that clocks and watches be set forward an hour before going to bed Saturday night in order to be on time Sunday morning.

Daylight-saving time continues until 2 a.m. the last Sunday in October. The N.C. Department of Insurance suggests using the time change as an opportunity to change batteries in smoke detectors.
