Herald protester
H.K. Edgerton, right, of Asheville, brought a Confederate battle flag and a message to The Sylva Herald Friday (March 17). Edgerton said he was “very shocked” by The Herald’s coverage of his exchange with civil rights activist Morris Dees during Dees’ recent visit to Western Carolina University. “I’m feeling pretty bad that (the newspaper) didn’t tell the whole truth,” Edgerton said of The Herald’s report.
