Sectional champions

The undefeated Lady Mustangs pulled out a dramatic 52-49 win over East Davidson in Tuesday’s 2-A Regional semifinals on a game-ending three-pointer by freshman Tasha Junaluska. Junior guard DeGraffenreid scored three points in the final minute to tie the score, stole an inbounds pass with just seconds left and provided the assist for Junaluska’s game-winning shot. Smoky Mountain will meet Salisbury in the Regional finals at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Joel Coliseum Annex in Winston-Salem.
