Helping with the afternoon’s project (lower photo) are, from left, Allison’s owners Daniel and Margie Allison; Safe Kids’ Paula Bryson; Health Department’s Courtney Shemelya, Becki Mathews and Sue Evans; Cullowhee firefighter Terry Ashe; N.C. Highway Patrol Trooper Denny Wood, Sgt. Paul Campbell and Trooper Hugh Feinberg; Mission’s Beverly Britt and Vickie Whitlatch; and Cullowhee firefighter Adam Guffey. – Herald photos by Nick Breedlove
