Courthouse sledding
Sylva resident Gibbs Knotts took advantage of the weekend’s big snow to treat his 2-year-old daughter, Whitney, to a sled right down Courthouse Hill. Snow fell both Friday and Saturday nights, leaving downtown and most of the county blanketed in about 6 inches. Though some roads were slick, most remained open and no major accidents were reported.
