Sun sets on Jackson County’s 2005
Jackson County’s final sunset of 2005 was a spectacular one that painted the sky above Fisher Creek in shades of rose and purple as the red-gold ball prepared to sink below the Balsams, bringing an end to the first half-decade of the 21st Century. Herald photographer Nick Breedlove captured this image around 5:45 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 31. New Year’s Eve was quiet throughout the county, with no reports of serious accidents or crime. |
