Six players hit double figures as Catamounts rout Chargers
Western Carolina had six players score in double figures as the Catamounts routed Atlanta Christian 110-51 on Nov. 22 before just 323 fans at the Ramsey Center.
Antonio Russell led the way with 22 points while Eric Wilson had 21 points and 10 rebounds. Also hitting double figures in points were Kyle Greathouse with 14, David Berghoefer with 12, Charles Bouie with 11 and Stan Johnson with 10.
Jermaine Barnes scored 19 points and pulled down six rebounds for the Chargers.

The Catamounts led wire-to-wire. Russell scored six and Wilson had five as they opened the game on a 13-2 spurt in the first four and a half minutes.
The Chargers cut the gap to 17-11 on Glen Lamb’s three-point play at the 11:33 mark.
Western responded with another 13-2 run, including four by Greathouse, for a 30-13 advantage on Berghoefer’s free throw at the 7:13 mark.
The margin eclipsed 20 for the first time when Jared Outing’s three-pointer made it 41-20 with 2:06 to play.
The Cats led 41-22 at intermission.
Russell’s layup put his team up by 30 (61-31) with 15:38 remaining.
Berghoefer’s eight points sparked an 18-2 spurt for an 82-37 lead with 10:02 on the clock.
The margin reached 50 when Greathouse’s layup made it 92-42 with 7:18 to play.
WCU went over the century mark on Outing’s jumper for a 101-44 lead with 2:58 on the clock. It was part of a 14-1 run, including five by Russell, for the game’s biggest lead, 108-45, on Wilson’s three-point play at the 1:42 mark.
Western shot 51.6 percent from the floor while the Chargers made just 29.1 percent of their field goal tries.
The Cats dominated the boards 50-26.
Atlanta Christian committed 24 turnovers, and Western had 14.
Greathouse handed out six assists.
Completing the WCU scoring were Outing with nine, Negus McKenna with seven and Corey Muirhead with four.
