County soccer champions
Scotts Creek won the county soccer championship for middle schools with a 5-0 conference record and an 8-3-1 mark overall. Team members included, clockwise from left: Nathan West, Kory Pflueger, Paige Seago, Adam Corbin, Richard Ramirez, Gene Howanitz, Rodrigo Nogal, Jesse Walker, Trent Miller, Joe Lee, Josh Coppola and Stephen Sprinkle; (not pictured) John Burgess, Charles Brooks and Jeff Mertz. Coaches were Carol Morris and Phil Woody. Ramirez set school records for goals in a season (35) and career (59). He also owns school marks for career points and assists. |
