Christmas comes to Sylva see photo gallery here
Thousands took advantage of clearing skies Tuesday night (Nov. 29) to line Main Street for the town’s annual Christmas Parade. “It was one of the best parades we’ve had in recent years,” said parade organizer Betty Foxx, who termed the event a success. “I’m just very appreciative for everyone that participated and helped out.” This year’s holiday celebration included approximately 60 floats, along with fire trucks from throughout the county, Fox said. David’s Painting (above), like many of the parades business and church floats, relied on local children to increase their entry’s appeal.
