Firefighters’ training - The Sylva Fire Department was in charge of a controlled burn held Tuesday, Nov. 15, on Skyland Drive. Two houses and an out building were burned as part of a training session. Departments from Balsam, Cullowhee and Savannah also took part in the exercise.
