Bobcats fall to Highlands in playoffs
Highlands rallied from a 3-0 deficit in the first half to defeat Blue Ridge 4-3 on Nov. 9 in the quarterfinals of the state 1-A soccer playoffs.
Bobby Parrish scored the game-winning goal with less than two minutes remaining.
The Bobcats dominated early with three goals in the first seven minutes. Jonathan Solis scored first, and Cody Goodwin followed with two headers.
The Highlanders started the comeback when Parrish scored with 12 minutes to play in the first half. Ryan Bears and Matt Chenoweth both had goals before intermission resulting in a 3-3 tie.
Nick Miles had nine saves for Blue Ridge (11-6-1), and Ryan Perkins recorded nine for Highlands.
