FOOD SERVICE ASSISTANT II, (Position #5182), North Carolina Center for the Advancement of Teaching (NCCAT). Starting Salary: $20,112 - $22,051 (Grade 52). The primary responsibilities of this position are: to assist cook in cleaning and preparing food for meals; present and garnish food; maintain clean work area; maintain and stock inventory; review menus with the cook and Dining Services Director weekly; and assist in annual inventory. This position will work mornings, evenings and weekends. Occasional split shifts and overtime may be required. Must be willing and capable of filling-in when the Cook II is absent or off duty. Knowledge, skills and abilities necessary to perform these duties are: a general knowledge of food preparation, cooking, and baking as well cleaning methods, and equipment and supplies usage; ability to direct the work of other employees and the ability to perform moderately heavy physical labor.
