It’s time to set clocks, watches back an hour

102705falldaylightsavingsIt’s time to pick up that hour of sleep lost last spring when Eastern Standard Time returns this weekend.

The official time to “fall back” is 2 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 30. However, it is suggested that clocks and watches be set back an hour before going to bed Saturday night to be on time Sunday. Daylight-savings time will return in April. The N.C. Department of Insurance recommends using the time change as an opportunity to check and change batteries in home smoke detectors.
