The primary responsibilities of this position are: cleaning the NCCAT core facility and two residence buildings.  Duties include washing windows inside and out requiring the use of ladders up to 16 feet, vacuuming, cleaning and sanitizing restrooms, stripping and waxing of tile floors, emptying trash, and set-up of seminar rooms. COOK II, (Position #5190), North Carolina Center for the Advancement of Teaching (NCCAT).  Starting salary: $20,112 - $23,651 (Grade 55). The primary responsibilities of this position are: Cook II for the NCCAT Dining Services will be responsible for the preparation and serving of meals for NCCAT participants and guests and is also responsible for maintaining sanitary kitchen and dining areas. Will be responsible for the actual cooking of meats and vegetables and the preparation of complete meals.  This position will report to the NCCAT Food Service Director and will often be required to work evenings and weekends.  Occasional split shifts and overtime may be required. PROCESSING ASSISTANT IV, (Position #5210), North Carolina Center for the Advancement of Teaching (NCCAT).  Starting salary: $22,426 - $27,083 (Grade 59).  This positions duties will be divided between NCCAT’s Budget Office and NCCAT’s Human Resource Office. Primary responsibilities of this position are: Approving, processing, recording and filing all forms related to certain lines of NCCAT budgets; processing reimbursements of teachers travel and substitute teacher expenses for NCCAT seminar participants attending seminars; compiling seminar cost reports, preparing presenter stipends; approving program requisition codes and posting all seminar related expenses to a database and balancing assigned budgets with FRS print-outs. Within the Human Resource Office this position will be assigned the following duties: copying applications, typing and proofreading correspondence, establishing as well as maintaining filing system, completing check requests. This position will have other duties as assigned.  Hours of the position will be from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday.  Knowledge, skills and abilities necessary to perform these duties are:  Knowledge of accounting procedures, mathematics and their application in the work environment; ability to learn and independently; apply laws, and departmental rules and regulations covering programs and services; and the ability to review and process information to determine a conclusion, action, or compliance with applicable laws, rules, or regulations. Must be flexible and keep up-to-date on various issues related to travel policies, purchasing guidelines, and personnel procedures.  Confidentiality is a must.  Tasks must be completed quickly in an accurate and efficient manner.  Extreme accuracy and efficiency is required in working with numerical data. Training and experience requirements: Graduation from high school and demonstrated possession of knowledges, skills and abilities gained through at least two years of office assistant/secretarial experience; or an equivalent combination of training and experience is required. Preference will be given to those applicants with the following training and experience: proficiency in the use of IBM compatible computers with MS Windows.
