Another winner
“Dogwood Hatchery” by Robert Franz of Whittier is the second-place winner in The Sylva Herald’s annual Mountain Spring photo contest. Franz captured the image last April outside his home. Herald Publisher Jim Gray, assisted by newspaper staff members, judged Green’s photo the overall winner from among this year’s 80-plus entries, and Herald graphic designer Nick Breedlove was contest coordinator. Other winners are Waverly Green of Sylva, first; Christy Rowe of Tuckasegee, third; and Shannon Slater of Hendersonville and Christy Taylor of Whittier, honorable mention. |
