Bus ride ends in ditch - A school bus from Scotts Creek Elementary School ended up in a ditch after the driver, Sherrie Dillard, lost control of the vehicle Monday (April 18) on Slim Dillard Road in the Cope Creek area. Neither Dillard or her only passenger, Felisa Trantham, 13, were injured. Retired superintendent Buchanan is dead at 91 - Retired educator Paul Buchanan, who spent 20 years as a principal and superintendent in Jackson County, died Saturday (April 16) at his Rolling Green home after a period of declining health.
