John Glenn (Josh Cecero), Nathan Hale (Robert Rule), Thomas Jefferson (Luke Flaxman), Paul Revere (Spencer Traynham), George Washington (Max Johnson), Benjamin Franklin (Hunter Lewis) and Christopher Columbus (Travis Bodford), from left, are students in Janice Stiens’ third-grade class at Scotts Creek Elementary School. The famous personas will make an appearance in “Living Biographies,” a play the students will perform for parents in coming weeks. Since January, the third-graders have been studying famous Americans using biographies Stiens bought for her classroom library using a $700 Learning Links grant from the Ben W. and Dixie Glenn Farthing Charitable Fund. |
