Canada park
Jackson County Recreation Department Dirctor Jeff Carpenter braved Friday’s (Feb. 11) snowy weather to discuss the community park planned for the site. Construction is set to begin in April to turn the 4-acre site into a community park, complete with picnic shelter, playground, horseshoe pits, performance space, walking trail, paved parking and rest rooms. The large Norway spruce, left, will be incorporated into the park if possible, Carpenter said. See story on page 8A. – Herald photo by Lynn Hotaling |
