Wind damages scoreboard

012705scoreboard
A storm system passing over Western North Carolina brought high winds and a dusting of snow to most of Jackson County Saturday night (Jan. 22). Winds blowing through Carr Hooper Stadium at Smoky Mountain High School damaged the scoreboard, leaving it leaning on a light pole. School officials said the scoreboard will most likely have to be replaced. – Herald photo by Derek Hodges.
