Cheering at Regionals
Smoky Mountain's cheerleaders will be traveling to Atlanta on Sunday, Jan. 30, to compete in the Cheersport Regional Cheerleading Competition at the Georgia World Congress Center. If the squad obtains a qualifying score in the medium varsity intermediate division, they will be invited to compete in the Cheersport National Cheerleading Championship set for Feb. 18-20 in Atlanta. Members include, from left: (front) Brooke Cole, Ashley Morgan, Mandy Revis, Cayla Preston, Janelle Midgett and Brittany French; (middle) Louisa Madill, Chelsea Parham, Katie Setzer, Charlotte Dunlap, Brittany Thompson and Mary Beegle; (back) Victoria Palmer, Whitney Watson, Cara Wittekind, Brianna Douthitt, Ashley Derks, Savannah Phillips and Tabby Stephens. The squad is coached by Kim Buchanan, Alison Snyder and Krysta Buchanan.
