FRIDAY, DECEMBER 17 is the deadline for small businesses to apply for disaster loans to cover damages from Hurricanes Frances and Ivan. For information, call the U.S. Small Business Administration "Helpline" at 1-800-359-2227. SBA loans are the primary source of long-term recovery assistance, an agency spokesman said. "If you think you are going to get everything from your insurance settlement, you may be in for a surprise, said SBA Disaster Area Director Michael Allen. "Insurance seldom covers all the costs associated with repairing or replacing property damaged by a disaster."
