Sylva Herald offices to close for Labor Day

The Sylva Herald offices and printing plant will close Monday, Sept. 6, for the Labor Day holiday.

Deadline for most news, including sports, for next week’s paper is this Friday, Sept. 3, at noon. Deadline for information destined for “School Days” and “Farm and Home” pages, which is always due a full week in advance, will remain Thursday, Sept. 2, at 5 p.m.

Real estate ads, normally due Monday at noon, will need to be received at The Herald by Friday, Sept. 3, at noon.

Other advertising deadlines (classified, legal, display) will remain Tuesday at noon, although early submissions would be appreciated.

Herald legal and classified advertising customers are reminded that deadlines for those types of advertising will shift from Tuesday noon to Monday noon. The Monday noon deadline will take effect Friday, Oct. 1 for the Thursday, Oct. 7, edition of The Sylva Herald.
