Another Winner
"Trillims in the Park" by Phyllis Jarvinen of Webster is the first-place winner in The Sylva Herald's annual Mountain Spring photo contest. Judged by Herald Advertising Manager Margo Gray and coordinated by Herald graphic designer Nick Breedlove, this year's competition generated a record-setting 106 entries. Other winners are Tracey Grant of Cullowhee, grand prize; Christy Taylor of Whittier, second; Amanda McFalls of Tuckasegee, third; and Jean Kirkland of Sylva, honorable mention. In the "Cute Kids" category, first place went to Brandy McCardle of Sylva, second to Linda Vinson of Honea Path, S.C., and third to Kayla Sloan of Sylva. See other winners here |
