SOUL INFUSION will host several free events this week. On Earth Day (today), Asheville-based Snake Oil Medicine Show will be on hand to sign original Earth Day 2004 art posters at the tea house and bistro to raise money for the Canary Coalition. Proceeds from the poster sale will help support the Coalition's efforts to bring clean air back to our mountains, said Soul Infusion owner Jason Kimenker. The limited-edition poster art, which can be seen in many store windows on Main Street this week, was painted by Snake Oil Medicine Show member and artist Phil Cheney. Following a daytime Earth Day event at Western Carolina University sponsored by the Coalition and the WCU Biology club, Soul Infusion will host a 9 p.m. after-party celebration featuring the Snake Oil musicians. Posters will be available during and after the performance, and if still available, the following week. Guests do not have to attend the show to get a poster or make a donation to the Canary Coalition.
